Application procedure for international students

1. Send your application form together with a résumé (CV) and a cover letter to:

2. Once your file is received, you will be given an interview over the phone. The video system (Skype) used by the EAC also allows long distance quality interviews.

3. During a one to one conversation, your cultural and artistic habits will be appreciated (attendance of cultural places, subscription to specialized magazines, personal artistic activities, work experience, cultural hobbies…)

4. An MCQ (Multiple Choice Question Test) based on general knowledge will have to be handed in by mail.

5. In addition to the MCQ, the applicant will have to write a two page article about his or her motivations to study the art market or cultural mediation in France.

6. File treatment procedure: one week.
Results will be given over the phone and sent by mail.

Application procedure for suburban students

3. During a one to one conversation, your motivation for art & culture will be appreciated (visits of cultural places, subscription to specialized magazines, personal artistic skills, work experience, cultural tastes...)

4. You will have to choose one out of the following topics to be developed in less than three pages but for artwork, bibliography etc… depending on each subject.

The art market:

• Street Art: a fad or an established fact in aesthetical history?
• Evolution of “the vanity movement” throughout the centuries.
• Boulle’s contribution to the 18th century cabinet making.
• Duties and obligations of auctioneers since the 10th of July, 2000 law.

Cultural mediation:

• Downloading music on the Internet: a thin line between legal and illegal habit
• Is the luxury industry part of the artistic and cultural industries?
• Comment on Jacques Audiard’s movie “A prophet “which recently scored nine Cesar Awards during the 2010 ceremony.
• How does the cultural animation of historical monuments contribute to the valuation of regional heritage?

5. File treatment procedure: one week.
The results of your admission will be given over the phone and sent by mail.
